How to Set Up Slack Integration with Yoffix

The Yoffix Slack integration allows you to manage desk bookings, attendance statuses, and notifications directly inside Slack.

You can plan office days, confirm bookings, and receive updates without leaving your Slack workspace.

What the Slack Integration Does

Once configured, Yoffix in Slack allows you to:

• Set your office or remote status

• Book a desk directly from Slack

• Receive booking confirmations and updates

• Confirm or cancel bookings via check-in messages

• View attendance overviews in Slack channels

All bookings remain synchronized with your Yoffix calendar.

How to Configure Slack

The integration operates via the Yoffix Slack app and bot.

Before users can access it:

1. An admin must enable Slack under
   Settings → Integrations → Tools → Slack

2. Click Add to Slack and authorize the connection

3. Users must select Slack as their preferred notification channel in their profile

Once configured, the Yoffix app becomes available in Slack under Apps.

Set a Status and Book a Desk

To book a desk in Slack:

1. Open Slack

2. Select Yoffix under Apps

3. Choose a day

4. Select your status (e.g., office or remote)

5. Choose from available offices

6. Save your booking

The booking will immediately appear in your Yoffix calendar.

Check-In Function

If the check-in feature is enabled by your admin and Slack is set as your notification channel:

• You will receive a message one hour before your booking

• You can confirm or cancel with one click

• If no action is taken within one hour, the booking is automatically canceled

This helps prevent no-shows and keeps office occupancy accurate.

In-Channel Attendance Overview

You can add the Yoffix bot to any Slack channel to receive attendance overviews.

To add the bot:

1. Open Slack

2. Go to Apps → Yoffix

3. Click Add this app to a channel

4. Select the desired channel

The channel will then display an overview of who is scheduled to be in the office.

Notifications in Slack

If Slack is selected as your notification channel, you will receive:

• Booking confirmations

• Booking changes

• Cancellations

• Check-in reminders

• Bookings made for you by others

All important attendance-related updates appear directly in Slack messages.

To receive notifications in Slack go to your Profile → Notification channel → select Slack.

The Slack integration works the same way in the Slack mobile app.
